Spring Wish List

Hello friends! I pray you had a lovely weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by to read my last few posts. They've been a bit of a thought pool, I know, but definitely needed in many ways. I pray they've been helpful to someone out there and, well, it did me good to get it. out. there. (moving on...)

There are SO many great spring trends coming out that I am seriously loving! I don't know about you guys but, all of the blush and floral patterns and addddorable shoes have me just about ready to throw out everything I own and start plum over! Kidding... (maybe).

I may not want to throw out every single piece in my closet but there are a few I'd LOVE to add to it! These super sweet pastel options being just a few! Loafers are so on trend right now and, as a mama I have to say, kid friendly! I have a pair from Rue that I snatched up for a whole five bucks a few months ago and they are so cute, comfy and super easy to wear no matter what my boys and I have on the agenda. The blush ones linked below are SO CUTE! I just received them in the mail (eeeek!!) and can't wait to style them for spring!!

I'm also excited to add some color into my wardrobe! For me, that means light, romantic colors, floral patterns and anything that gives off that happy vibe I've been craving lately. Also, yellow. Give me alllll the yellow! I almost thrifted a bright yellow skirt a couple of weeks ago for a buck... A BUCK.... and I decided not to.  k i c k i n g  myself.. It's just such a bright and cheerful color, I can't help but love it.

Anyhoo, I don't have much to say, other than I can't wait for Spring to be here to stay! Are there any new trends you're excited to style?! Anything you just absolutely hate??

Sweetheart Day : Gifting for Her

When it comes to wish lists, I always like asking for things I really need or have wanted for a long time and just haven't had the gumption to purchase for myself. At the top of that list are self care items that I know I'll get tons of use out of or that I've had for years and need to replace. This Valentine's day, when the hubby asked what I wanted, I rattled off the usual things. Some chocolate, some Nickel & Suede, almost anything from Magnolia Boutique, and a new robe. I actually have several robes, all but one were gifts at my Bridal shower before Glen and I were married. Yea, eight years ago. They've gone through countless mornings cooking breakfast or wiping snotty faces, the sudden urge to paint without making time to change, lots of snuggles with sick littles or a bowl of ice cream in my lap and so much more. They are plum worn out. Not to mention stained beyond what Resolve will take care of anymore. Also, they're all cold weather robes. Think big, fluffy, nearly fur things that are insanely warm and cozy. I love them. But, I have always wanted one I could wear in the not so frigid months that would work well and still be cozy. Then I found this one on amazon.

It's perfect. The fabric is so soft, it's not heavy weight but not too thin and it covers me. I love that. What's up with a robe that is three quarter sleeve and only goes to the knee? If I can't snuggle in and be good without a blanket then, I'm sorry, it's just not worth it. Then the hubby asked what I really wanted, roses and candy or this unbelievable robe I had showed him. I love the mushy stuff but, I totally chose the robe this time around. Does that mean I'm getting old? Let's just go with more seasoned LOL.

I also love that the belt is attached, the sleeves are long and loose and the stretchy fabric makes the fit perfect. I got a small and it just feels so good. If you're looking for something for that special someone, consider a great robe she can get cozy in before settling down for a night of snuggling. It'll pay off, I can assure you!

Here's some other great gift ideas, some I already own and some I just really love, that would be great for that fashion conscious, chocolate loving, blush crushing lady in your life. There's still time to get some of them and, if not, gift cards work great for an instant gift that she can choose herself when the time is right!

Goody Clean Radiance Cushion Hairbrush, 08193

Also, this brush? Love. It. It's like a mini head massage every time I use it and, I'm hopeful, it'll make this post partum hair loss thing a distant memory. (Ugh, it's the worst) What are you crushing on lately that would be the perfect valentine gift for you? Does your sweetheart know? It may be time to drop a little hint. Online wish lists and email subscribing is a great way to be subtle but precise. Happy Sweetheart Day!!

Momma's Wish List

Gifting for the woman in you life, it can be hard. Especially with those fashion conscious women who have a specific idea of what they'd like to receive. Those, more or less, picky ladies. I know I'm one of them. And that's okay. Guys are selective about their hunting gear and clothing brands too right?! Yep. Anyway, I thought I'd share what's on the top of my wish list this holiday season, if nothing else, to give Glen a little shopping help (lol). Seriously though, what guy wouldn't love a list of specific things his wife wants?! Gift giving made easy I tell ya.

Probably number one on my list this year is a dress form. I love to sew, especially when it comes to clothing. For a while I borrowed a form from a family member but, it was reeaally old and about 4 sizes too big so, it didn't work very well for me. I would love to be able to try my pieces on my own, correctly proportionate mannequin. It would make pinning, hemming and practically everything so much easier. This one from Amazon has great reviews, has partial shoulders (which is a must) and a nice classic look and I have the perfect spot in my sewing room for it. (So not kidding lol)

I have wanted one of these for so long I decided that maybe it's time I actually ask for one! Curling wands from Nume are so amazing. They do a fantastic job and make curly/wavy hairstyles so easy. We all know I could use a little help cutting down "primp" time with five boys hurrying me along. If I could choose one, I'd love to have this 25mm wand.

When it comes to clothing, I'm pretty picky about what I like and I know it makes it a tad hard for Glen to shop for me. That's why I love making a list on my favorite online boutiques so he can shop directly from there. Just pick the size of the item you want and add it to your wishlist. It couldn't be simpler. I love Magnolia Boutique for clothing and they have some of the cutest riding boots right now. Here are a couple of things I'm crushing on and the link to my full list. Goodness knows it can get kind of lengthy sometimes.

Also on the top of my list are these beautiful mules. I love a good neutral shoe that I can pair with lots of different outfit combinations and these would be the perfect addition to my closet. (Bonus : they're actually on sale! But, in case they sell out before the holidays, I added a similar pair to my amazon wish list.)

It's no secret that I love accessorizing so I have to include some Nickel & Suede on my wish list this year! They have beautiful handcrafted earrings (not to mention tons of other great accessories) that are just to die for. These are some of my favorites.

Of course, $$ is always on my list. That way, if someone wants to get you something but worries about getting the wrong thing, you can go buy it yourself. I know a lot of people don't like gifting money because it takes most of the thought and effort out of gift giving but, personally, it's one of my favorite things to receive. There's no hassle about spending it at one specific place and you can hold onto it for as long as you like (especially if you like to wait for sales like me).

Right along with the fashion conscious thing, long cardigans are definitely in right now and these are some super cute options. If you were a big black Friday or cyber week shopper, you could have gotten some great deals on some!

Another cute sweater option. The bottom ruffle is so feminine and adds the perfect touch to any outfit. I love the blush pink color of this one.

Women's AB Studio Chiffon Hem Crewneck Sweater

Great makeup is a winner, if you know what brand she prefers. The Naked palettes are so pretty and could work for any skin type and occasion.

I could go on, lol. But, I hope you got some good ideas if you're stuck in a rut on what to buy. These are all great options you can play off of for any woman in your life. So, guys, if you haven't shopped for her yet, get going! Merry Christmas Eve and happy wrapping!!
