Jumpsuit Mama

I've been way into simplifying my style lately and so, jumpsuits are a given! I came across this one on Target online the other day and instantly loved it. When it came in the mail, I was head over heels! It was a bit long but, I kind of expected that seeing as how I'm kind of short. So, I took a few minutes to hem it where I needed it to be and now, it fits perfectly! I love that it's a dark color so it's slimming (which can be tough to achieve with a jumpsuit) yet it still has some pretty pops of color to brighten it up and make it more fun.

It's so comfortable too! The top hugs you perfectly and the pants are loose but not baggy. I paired it with one of my fave pairs of wedges and this fun purse that complimented the pink in the flowers well. Seriously, SUCH a great purchase! And, only TWENTY BUCKS! Yaaaa!

I searched Target's online selection of jumpsuits and came up with some more that I really like as well! I may definitely be adding a few more of these to my closet soon.

Recently I've been praying for peace about life. About our family, the plan God has for us, and for calm in my anxieties. I can definitely feel myself getting caught up in all of the stresses and worries I face sometimes but, when I finally reach the point of losing it all, giving it up is a much better option. I've been working harder to let go of things before I get to my breaking point lately. And, while I'm not exactly great at it yet, I can feel the Lord working that out inside my heart.

I'm so grateful for a loving, kind, genuine God who knows every gritty detail of my life, my mind and my heart and yet, He loves me anyway. Really because of them. He created all of that in me and knew that one day I would need help to gain some perspective on the whys of it all. And He was just waiting for me to reach out to Him and say, "Okay God, you're gonna have to step in here cause I reeeeally don't know where we're headed."

Isn't God good!? I put that out there as less of a question and more of a declaration! He IS good! And I am so thankful to be His. Happy Thursday friends. I pray you have a wonderful rest of your week and that you are having a truly blessed summer with your families!

I know Valentine's has passed but, something has gotten me on a romantic kick lately so, I wanted to share my look for our casual (kid-free) dinner out and some inspo on outfits I'm loving to take me into spring. I've been crushing hard on blush, cream, muted and neutral tones lately. Like MAJORLY. This super soft and comfortable sweater dress fits that bill perfectly. It's not too huggy, fits like a charm and has a great length. Especially when worn with OTK boots. I shared a few posts back that I'm gaining more self confidence since finding a workout routine that I love but, I still want to be modest and respectful of others when I'm choosing what to wear. It can sometimes be hard to find pieces that fit my style and budget while still making me feel great but, it's always worth it in the end.

These boots were part of my birthday gift to myself and they have been perfect! They're everything I was looking for in an OTK boot and more and the price was the best I've found in months. Thank you Charlotte Russe! Another absolute FAV part of this outfit are my new Nickel & Suede earrings!! Hubby got them for me in Lip Gloss for Valentine's Day but gifted them to me on Sunday so I could wear them to church. (How sweet is he!?!) He said he knew they would go well with my outfit and, since he kind of told me what he got me a couple of days before he decided to let me go ahead and open them. Yay! They're size large and they're perfect! I have Scarlet Suede in size medium and love them as well but, something about the size large just speaks to me! I actually recently used the rest of my birthday money to purchase a pair of Navy Woven in size large from Brickyard Buffalo while they have a selection on their site for the next few days! If you're looking to try them out, I highly recommend hopping over there and grabbing a pair at 33% off before they're gone! I cannot WAIT to style them with some fun pops of color for spring after they arrive. 

Target has a collection of ballet inspired pieces that I'm loooooving lately and it's given me some major inspo for spring outfits as well! I'm 99.9% girly girl and the other 0.1% hunter. Which basically means that I love to hunt (I'm especially excited to use my new Avail this coming deer season that the hubby got me for my birthday! But, that's another post entirely..) but the hubby has to remind me that we're only going to the woods and there won't be anyone there to see my cute outfit. lol

Sometimes your hubby asks you on a last minute date night and, occasionally, you have time to spare after dinner to grab a few blog photos in town. I love going out with my guy, just the two of us, and while it doesn't happen nearly enough, I'm thankful we can make time for it as often as we do. Even if it's just dinner, a little walk down commercial street and a Walmart run to get some new movies, it's nice to spend a little time sans kiddos. 

While fall is still a few weeks away, all of this nsale business has me seriously craving some cooler weather and warmer, richer toned pieces. So, I improvised a little and styled this Pink Blush tunic dress with my favorite distressed skinnies and these pretty Liliana laser cutout heels, although I can't wait to style it with ankle boots soon! I love this look. The floral pattern is one of my favorites right now and the bag and bracelet add just the right amount of blush. 

If you noticed in my last post, I finally got my hair trimmed and evened out a bit and it is growing out really nicely now. It felt kind of short in the back at first but, it grows so fast and I can already tell it's going to be much easier to get long again with this bob style. I tried out a few new beauty products for this post as well and I'm loving them so far. I don't spend a lot on makeup but, I try not to go without the basics either. Here's what I tried for the first time :

I was using one kind of powder foundation that I really loved but then it wasn't in stock when I went to purchase more this last time. So, I decided to try Neutrogena's Skin Clearing Mineral Powder and I am so impressed. It goes on light and smooth and doesn't clog my pores. I've been using it in this humid MO heat and it hasn't "melted" in the slightest and I've noticed improvement in my blemishes. I'll definitely purchase it again. 

I needed new undereye concealer and I was getting tired of what I usually use. I decided to try out the Flower Daily Brightening under eye cream and am so happy I did. It goes on with a little roll, blends well and really does the job. Love it.

Since you're supposed to change out your eye makeup every so often, I figured it was way past time to get something else so I decided to try some new eyeliner and mascara. I chose Almay's Intense i-color gel smooth liner and it is awesome! I love the look it gives. 

Lastly, I tried Almay's one coat thickening mascara and it is the best! I don't know why I never tried it before because it is my favorite of everything I purchased. It doesn't clump or flake and really makes my eyes pop. I have naturally long lashes and they're not really thin either but, the way it covers quickly without all the mess is really great. Definitely a repeat purchase in the future. Besides the items listed above, I used my other everyday products and came up with a look that I was super happy with. Easy everyday routine and easy on the budget. I'll link them below in case you're interested. And, the eye makeup remover I was so excited about when I purchased it is a winner! It is so gentle and really removes everything. 

This date night was one for the books though. We talked, flirted, sat beside each other in a booth at dinner, walked hand in hand looking in shop windows and joked around the whole time. He is my sweetheart and I don't know where I'd be without him. I'm so thankful for the Lord and how he has blessed me with this man and my boys with their daddy. He's a keeper for sure and I love him with all my heart.
